Religion and Belief

Prasat Ku Santarat Ruins was built according to Mahayana Buddhism belief in Jayavarman VII of Khmer era (around 18 BE). This is the sanctuary for making worship and performing ritual to cure diseases. The medical center was presumed to be a wooden building and already destroyed through time. Prasat Ku Santarat Ruins becomes historic site (abandon) that people around there still respect and holding “Song Ku*” ceremony each year around April with the belief that the ceremony will bring them happiness. Note: *“Song Ku” is the way that people pour water on the ruins and ask for blessing.
