Prasat Ku Santarat Ruins
Archeological evidences were found in Maha Sarakham. The evidences indicated that there were villagers since the prehistoric era in many areas of the province. However, the Khmer culture evidences indicated that Khmer culture influenced this area around 16 BE. Many types of the archeological evidences were carved in 16-17 BE and were influenced by Khmer art that believed in Hinduism. The evidences were also showed the Khmer art in 18 BE of Jayavarman VII era who believed in Mahayana Buddhism. Sanctuary ruins in Bayon art were also found in the province including Ku Santarat Ruins in Na Dun District, Maha Sarakham Procvince.
